I often use "pushd %~dp0" because windows changes the current directory if you 'Run as administrator'. The second "echo CD." shows the current directory after changing with "pushd" The first "echo CD." below shows the current directory on entry. Yes, CMD.exe is typically in C:\Windows\system32, so that ends up being the current directory in your case since you executed CMD.EXE. RG your are correct.If i run the script from my desired location using context menu it points to some other location (i.e)system32 folder.Can you please help me mofy the script 1 so,that it gets the current directory and then carries out the rest of the opertaion Windows Shell Scripting and InstallShield
